John
R. Gardella of 8 Delwood Circle, Durango, was born in
Detroit, Michigan on June 22, 1943. He holds a Bachelor
of Science degree from Florida State University.
Gardella is an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church
of Durango. He is the owner of General Business Services
which offers business and tax counseling to small businesses
and individuals. He is also a real estate investor.
Elected to the LPEA board in 1994, Gardella is Board Treasurer, a member of
the FastTrack board and chairman of the board's Budget Finance
& Audit Committee. He has received the Credentialed Cooperative
Director certificate.

Harry
Goff of 1824 Eastlawn Ave., Durango, was born on
November 17, 1937 in Casa Grande, Arizona. He is a graduate
of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Goff serves as chairman of the Systems' Operations & Planning Committee and chairman of the External Organizations & Issues Committee. He is the board's Tri-State representative and he serves
on the WESODI board.
Goff retired after 40 years in consulting engineering and
land surveying, with 22 of those years spent in Durango as
president of Goff Engineering. Prior to operating Goff Engineering,
he was part owner of Durango's Ernst Engineering.
Goff received the following recognition: Young Engineer
of the Year by the Professional Engineers of Colorado;
Citizen Surveyor of the Year from Professional Surveyors
of Colorado; Distinguished Service Award from National
Council of Examiners for Engineering/Surveying and the
Friend of Durango High School award.
He belongs to the National Society of Professional Engineers,
the American Society of Professional Engineers, the American
Council of Surveying and Mapping, Member of the Colorado Board
of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors from
1991 to 1999 and the United Methodist Church of Durango.

Jeffrey
A. Berman, of 2401 Thomas Avenue, Durango, is a new
director for District 3, elected in September 2005. He serves
on the LPEA Board's Administration and External Organizations & Issues Committees.
Berman was born in Brooklyn, New York and holds a B.S. degree,
with honors, in Electrical Engineering.
He is a biodiesel consultant and conservationist. His business
experience includes working as a feasibility and development
consultant, founding member of the San Juan Biodiesel Cooperative,
and he is a former non-profit executive director.
Jeff is a current board member of the Southwest Colorado
Renewable Energy Society.
