
LPEA will award two four-year scholarship to begin in the 2013-2014 school year. The scholarship award will be for tuition, fees and books, not to exceed $7,000, to any accredited college or university within the United States.
The recipient will be encouraged to attend the La Plata Electric Summer Leadership Camp for one week during the summer between high school graduation and the start of the fall term. La Plata Electric will pay all expenses for the Leadership Camp.
Application deadline is March 1, 2013. The official La Plata Electric Application, essay, high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and reference letter(s) constitute application.
The La Plata Electric/John Voelker Scholarship was created for students attending a vocational school, technical school or junior college. This two-year maximum scholarship will be awarded each year for fees, books, tools and supplies for an amount not to exceed $5,000.
Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors from any high school or home school program within LPEA’s service territory and must plan to attend an accredited vocational school, technical school, or junior college.
