Premium Power ProgramWhy Do I Need Premium Power?

At LPEA, we do our best to provide high quality power, but there are some events beyond our control. Lightning storms, animals in electrical wires and construction equipment digging into power lines are examples of the many causes of power outages. Hence, we're now offering the Premium Power Program.

Your home electronics suffer through months or years of minor power surges which seemingly do no damage. However, invisible damage is being done. The next surge may be the one which disables your computer, VCR, television, microwave or other valuable electronic equipment.

Premium Power is what your computers and electronic equipment crave. This type of power is:

• Clean
• Uninterruptible
• Controlled
• Reliable

What are Surges?

Q: What are surges?

A: Surges are very short high voltage events coming from many sources. LPEA is doing its best to keep surges off your power lines, but we cannot keep all the surges away. Surges can also enter through telephone, satellite and cable TV wires.

Socket Arresters

The Socket Arrester is your first line of defense against power surges and spikes. This valuable piece of equipment is installed between the electric meter and your house. It protects your home from electric power line surges by sending them to the ground before they reach the home.

No piece of equipment can offer 100% protection. The Socket Arrester, however, offers a high level of protection, at an affordable cost, against the most common causes of destructive surges.

Surge Suppressors

surge suppressorMuch electronic equipment has built-in surge suppression, but it is simply not enough to protect against many powerful surges.
Surge suppression devices are installed between your electronics and power source and stop the vast majority of damaging surges. Devices are also available to protect against surges in telephone and TV lines.

We will discuss with you information about the current surge suppression devices on the market and help you make decisions on what type of surge protection is best for your specific needs.

We have three models available to help you. Give us a call.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies

Uninterruptible Power SuppliesUninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) provide standby power for brief power losses.
A UPS gives you the time to shutdown your computer safely. No longer do you have to lose hours of work or possibly suffer damage when the power goes out.

We will evaluate your needs and help you decide which UPS to use. We even offer a line of supplies that are available through the coop. Give us a call, and we can talk about your options.
