Controlled Credits With WattWatcher® Rate

• $300 for Marathons – new installations or conversions from another energy source.
• Up to $200 for other brands – new installations or conversions.
• Up to $75 for all brands – replacements.
• Up to $25 for timing devices.

Non-Controlled Credits With Residential Rate

• $75 for all brands of electric water heaters.
• $100 if the water heater has a lifetime tank warranty.

Equipment Requirements for Eligible Credits:

• Minimum 30 gallon capacity and 6-year tank warranty.
• Must meet minimum energy factor rating.
• Installations must be in LPEA’s service area.
• Customer must provide LPEA with proof of purchase.
• LPEA reserves the right to inspect installations

Domestic Solar Water Heaters

Tier 1

• LPEA will pay $1,500 per solar hot water system with a minimum requirement
  of 60,000 Btu/day based on SRCC rating for clear day/C interval with a
  minimum solar tank size of 80 gallons.
• The Colorado Governor's Enegy Office (GEO) will match this rebate.
• Total potential Tier 1 rebate: $3,000.

Tier 2

• LPEA will pay $750 per solar hot water system with a minimum requirement of
  30,000 Btu/day based on SRCC rating for clear day/C interval with a minimum
  solar tank size of 50 gallons.
• The GEO will match this rebate.
• Total potential Tier 2 rebate: $1,500

Program Requirements for Eligible Credits:

• Rebates will NOT be made retroactive for installations initiated prior to the August 1st,
  2008 “launch” date of the rebate program. Applications may only be accepted for NEW
  installations not started prior to the “launch” date.
• The equipment for the solar hot water system must be Solar Rating and Certification
  Corporation (SRCC) approved.
• A home energy audit must be performed and a report submitted with the rebate
  application.
• Installations must be in LPEA’s service area.
• LPEA will inspect the solar hot water system before issuing the rebate.
• Rebates will be available until GEO matching funds run out.

Permanent Electric Heaters

• $40/kW for Electric Thermal Storage (ETS) heater – new installation or converted from another energy source.
• $20/kW for ETS replacing existing electric heat.
• $10/kW for resistive heat.
• Up to $25 for timing devices.

Program Requirements for Eligible Credits:

• Minimum 1 kiloWatt (1,000 watts) capacity heater.
• Timing device required for usage of off-peak hours.
• Installations must be in LPEA’s service area.
• Customer must provide LPEA with proof of purchase.
• LPEA reserves the right to inspect installations.
